Hello?? Anybody there?! It has been a little quiet on the blog front. I just read my last post and boy, have things changed since then! I wrote it right after we found out the kids’ school was closed for 3 weeks. Now, it’s closed for the rest of the year. I included some of our favorite games and things to do in the post, so if you didn’t read it, you should check it out! Although, sorry if all the puzzles are now sold out!
I’ve been refraining from shopping for several reasons. My husband’s office is closed until at least April 30 so it just doesn’t feel like the time to be spending money. Not to mention that he is HOME all.the.time now so no hiding packages! (tell me I’m not the only one that does that!). However, one of my favorite retailers, Nordstrom, continues to have amazing items on sale! I did order a couple things today, because maybe someday we will be able to socialize again! I also saw some of my all-time favorite items on sale and I wanted to share these great deals with all of you!
To say I was shocked when I read the announcement that Michigan was closing all schools until April 6 is an understatement. To me, it was a wake up call that COVID-19 is not something to be taken lightly. If scientists and doctors are recommending that we take this drastic of a measure to prevent the virus from spreading and overwhelming our medical system, I’m respecting that. But, man, my heart sank and my stomach dropped, when I saw that school closing announcement. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY KIDS FOR 3 WEEKS AT HOME? (*I realize I’m lucky my kids are old enough to stay home alone and I work from home. My heart goes out to everyone scrambling for childcare and wondering how they will feed their kids.)
