Quick & Easy Ways to Decorate your Home for Halloween

Confession, my Halloween decor has been lacking the last few years.  When the kids were younger, I would go all out and the home would be decked out with skeletons, skulls, and monsters galore.  My entire front porch would be decorated and I would even decorate the front door to look like Frankenstein, it was awesome!  As the kids grew older and we became busier with after school activities, my passion for Halloween decorating dwindled.  I would decorate for Fall and call it good.  My now 10 year old son really got the short end with this.  He has been begging me the past 4 years to decorate for Halloween and he isn’t counting the mums, white pumpkins, and birch logs as Halloween decor!  (If that’s more your style, check out my Fall Home Tour post!) He finally convinced me and last Saturday I let him hop on Amazon to choose a few Halloween decorations for our front yard. Thanks to Amazon Prime, several of our items arrived the very next day (still blows my mind!) and my little buddy and I got to decorating.  It was SO easy, not expensive, and made my boy happy so I wanted to share it with all of you.  Even my too-cool-for-school teenagers thought the Halloween decorations were pretty neat!  Check out these quick & easy to decorate your home for Halloween!

7 Ways to Style a Midi Skirt

Midi skirts are everywhere this Fall!  I started noticing this length last Spring and thought it was cute, but didn’t think it was for me because of my short legs, petite frame.  I kept pointing them out to Jen to try, but she said she couldn’t wear that length either because of her long legs (way to rub it in!😂).  As the midi skirt trend continues to grow, I finally broke down and decided to try it, and what do you know, I found two I absolutely love!  What I discovered is midi skirts are really versatile and can be styled in a “jeans and tee” kind of way, or dressed up for a night out! The grind of weeknight dinner – ugh – who can relate?  To find something easy, quick, healthy, and kid friendly to serve for dinner is a challenge.  #thestruggleisreal.
