Midi skirts are everywhere this Fall! I started noticing this length last Spring and thought it was cute, but didn’t think it was for me because of my short legs, petite frame. I kept pointing them out to Jen to try, but she said she couldn’t wear that length either because of her long legs (way to rub it in!😂). As the midi skirt trend continues to grow, I finally broke down and decided to try it, and what do you know, I found two I absolutely love! What I discovered is midi skirts are really versatile and can be styled in a “jeans and tee” kind of way, or dressed up for a night out! When you’re spending money on clothes, you want to get your money’s worth and creating different looks with one piece is key! Checkout all 7 fun and easy ways to style my two favorite midi skirts all year round.
Leopard Midi Skirt
First up is this leopard skirt. This is definitely outside my comfort zone, but Jen insisted I buy it and I’m so glad I did! Isn’t that what friends are for?! I recorded a try-on session with these looks that is saved under our Insta-story highlights if you are interested in checking that out click here. I will wear this skirt all seasons and even found a way to wear it in the winter without freezing – because Michigan.🤪
TANK (SIMILAR) | SKIRT | SHOES (SIMILAR)
First up, I paired it with a black tank and open toe wedges for an easy, warmer weather look. It’s also cute with a jean jacket or black moto jacket as temperatures start to drop.

Midi Skirt with Sneakers
Next, I put on some wedge sneakers and a black sweater. I have professed my love for this Free People sweater to anyone that will listen! It isn’t itchy at all and the cut is perfection. It has the trendy, oversized look, without making you look like you have brawler arms. Lol. My friend told me it wouldn’t work for her because she’s not a Barely B, but I made her put it on, and she loved the fit too.
Midi Skirt with Over the Knee Boots
Because of the high side slit, I wanted something that would keep me warm during the winter. The over the knee boots totally worked!

The skirt also looked cute with a long sleeve black t-shirt and my favorite reversible fur vest.

New Color Theme
Changing things up completely, I ditched the black sweater and shoes for a tan sweater and brown boots. It gave the skirt a totally different, but just as cute, look! The tan sweater is the exact same Free People sweater as the black one. You know you like something when you have it in two different colors!

Black Knit Midi Skirt
The other midi skirt I’ve been obsessing over is this ribbed, knit, black skirt. This skirt is available in a ton of colors, but I stuck with black because I thought it was the most slimming. 🙂 If you like wearing joggers, you will like this skirt! It is really comfortable and my favorite way to wear it is with a graphic tee and sneakers (or sandals in the summer).

Softest Sweater and the BEST sneakers
Another cute look is with this awesome sweater. It’s a #targetfind and it is sooooo soft and cozy! I love the colors for fall and the slightly oversized fit, which shows a peek of the best bralette ever! This outfit is paired with the cutest tennies ever! I have been on the hunt for a Golden Goose sneaker look, but without the GG price and without looking like a total dupe. These Tretorns fit the bill. No joke, the first time I wore them, I had five people stop me in the streets asking about them. 😂 They are made of a mesh material and the inserts are rubber. The website doesn’t say they are waterproof, but that is how they feel. And, the material is really breathable if you have a smelly foot problem like me. Ha! Note, size down a half size.

Can’t Forget the Animal Print
I tried the skirt with my favorite Amazon leopard tee. I’ve raved about this one before, but it really is such great quality for the price. It is thick cotton, which give it a dressier look than a regular tee-shirt. I’m wearing it with the Tretorns, but I think it would look equally as cute with heels. Speaking of heels, I also paired this skirt with a cute cami and heels for another unique and dressier look.

Another Casual Look
I am on the hunt for some cute sweatshirts to pair with this skirt for the winter. I’m picturing snow boots, cute sweatshirt, and fun winter hat! In the meantime, I tried it with my sherpa jacket. Sidenote, I’m obsessed with this jacket!
